Das Shedhalle-Projekt "Die ganze Welt in Zürich. Konkrete Interventionen in die Schweizer Migrationspolitik" (Konzeption in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Künstler Martin Krenn) führte seit dem Sommer 2015 in neue Möglichkeitsräume einer postmigrantischen Schweiz, in Verhandlungsräume um lokale BürgerInnenschaft und in Debattenräume, in denen ein "Recht auf Rechte" konkret wird. Zürich sollte zu einem "sicheren Hafen" werden.
Nun gibt die Ausstellung "#urbancitizenship. Stadt und Demokratie" Einblicke in die Umsetzung des Projekts: im Rahmen von drei Hafen-Foren diskutierten lokale und internationale AkteurInnen das Potential von Urban Citizenship (StadtbürgerInnenschaft) für die Stadt Zürich. Eine transdisziplinäre Arbeitsgruppe erarbeitete konkrete Projekte zu drei Schwerpunkten: Aufenthaltsfreiheit, Diskriminierungsfreiheit und Gestaltungsfreiheit. Urban Citizenship wurde zu einem Thema in der Stadt Zürich.
Die GrafikerInnen Carolina Cerbaro und Roger Conscience haben die Geschichte in Bilder gefasst: Die Idee von Urban Citizenship, deren Anfänge weltweit, ihre Ankunft in Zürich und ihre Zukunft: eine Stadt für uns alle.

CITY AND DEMOCRACY
Freedom of residency, freedom from discrimination, and freedom of form. A city for us all.

Since the summer of 2015, the Shedhalle project “The Whole World in Zurich: Concrete Interventions into Swiss Migration Politics” (concept developed in collaboration with the artist Martin Krenn) has led to new spaces of possibility of a post-migrant Switzerland, spaces of negotiation around local resident-ships, and spaces of debate in which a “right to rights” becomes concrete. Zurich should thus be rendered a safe harbor.
The exhibition “#urbancitizenship. City and Democracy” now offers insight into the project’s realization: in the context of three harbor-forums, local and international actors discussed the potential of Urban Citizenship for the city of Zurich. A trans-disciplinary work group developed concrete projects for three main areas: freedom of residency, freedom from discrimination, and freedom of form. Urban Citizenship has thus become an issue in the city of Zurich.
The graphic designers Carolina Cerbaro and Roger Conscience captured the story in images: the idea of Urban Citizenship, its beginnings throughout the world, its arrival in Zurich, and its future: a city for us all.
